CanUX Conference Postponed to 2022
April 26, 2021
The organizers of CanUX, Canada’s largest annual UX conference, have announced that the next edition will take place in fall 2022.
The next CanUX will take place in the Fall of 2022
CanUX will be post-poned to Fall 2022
We’ll be honest: We missed you terribly in 2020. And we were really hoping that things would be further along by now so that we could confidently start planning our 11th edition of CanUX.
Across the UX industry, conferences continue to cancel or delay their events, or have opted to move online. Despite vaccines being rolled out, it is still unclear when gatherings of large groups will be allowed. At this stage, plans to re-open the economy are uncertain. There remains a lack of certainty about how long vaccines last, and whether there is potential for another COVID-19 spike next Winter. There is no sense about how long it will take for life to return to normal.
The secret to CanUX is its one-of-a-kind community: Once a year, we spend 4 intense days learning, sharing, cheering, laughing, high fiving, partying and hugging. We still feel strongly that this kind of experience would not translate well enough online in a world mired in screen fatigue, regardless of production value or how well we curate the content portion.
And with that, we have decided to err once again on the side of caution. We will be back in 2022 re-energized for a kick-ass live, in-person event.
For now, we recommend that you stay tuned to our newsletter. This is the best way get the scoop on our 2022 event as soon as information becomes available. You can also follow us on Twitter @canuxconf to stay up to date.
Sending you all hugs and high fives.
