Ph.D student Trinh Nguyen presents on Information Governance and blockchain technology.
Trinh’s presentation offers an overview of blockchain technology and its relationship with records and information management. Real-world examples of blockchain solutions will be provided, highlighting the role of information governance (IG) in the context of blockchain. Additionally, the presentation covers the latest approaches to understanding IG challenges in blockchain and how GARP principles align with IG concerning blockchain solutions.
Trinh Nguyen is a Ph.D. student at the School of Information of the University of British Columbia and a member of the Blockchain Graduate Pathway. Trinh investigates blockchain and information governance, with a focus on health information management.
Prior to joining the blockchain pathway, Trinh received her MBA from the University of Hawaii in 2016 and her Master of Education from the University of British Columbia in 2020. Her business background consists of over eight years working as a Market Research Specialist and a Strategy and Operations Manager. Trinh sees blockchain as a perfect convergence of various disciplines including computer science, cryptography, economics, strategic management, and education. Thus, she wishes to leverage her interdisciplinary background and interests into blockchain research and education.
