Description:

Solo librarian roles have a significant place in health sciences organizations, as their service and insights directly influence the work of medical students, residents, attending physicians, and other health care professionals. These positions are often held by subject matter experts whose absence or departure could potentially disrupt the smooth operations, strategy and overall performance of the organization.

This panel of information and library professionals will discuss the impact and careful analysis of the strategic goals, objectives, and core functions of a solo librarian in health sciences spaces. Learn about the importance of drafting and evaluating a succession plan and gather tips to ensure a smooth transition while transferring institutional knowledge to those who may come after.
