Libraries of all sizes and sectors are ambitiously working on transformations to meet the evolving needs of their communities – while facing ongoing challenges of keeping those spaces relevant and adaptable, reflecting local dynamics, and integrating new requirements . Regardless of their budget or size, all libraries have space problems that need solving. This year’s Library as Place Conference is focusing in on what Canadian library space planners need now more than ever: ways to get scrappy to make meaningful, usable, accessible and flexible spaces by getting inventive, thinking outside of the box, and tapping into the library space building community to find solutions to your biggest space challenges.
