Call for Proposals: Southern Alberta Library Conference 2026

The Southern Alberta Library Conference (SALC) Planning Committee is inviting proposals for concurrent sessions for its 17th annual conference in Lethbridge, AB, April 17, 2026. The target audience is library managers, staff, and volunteers. Preferred topics include:

• Current Library Issues & Trends
• Core Library Services and Sustainability
• Leadership
• Programming
• Advocacy
• Customer Service
• Diversity and Inclusion
• Library Technology
• Collection Development

We encourage all proposals to consider how the subject matter can be applied to rural libraries. Concurrent sessions are 60 minutes in length.

Deadline for proposal submission is October 3, 2025.

All successful applicants will receive free conference registration. Mileage and accommodation for out-of-town presenters may also be available in select cases and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
