In 2010, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) announced that it would acquire and preserve GC born digital records by 2017. Are you wondering what you need to do to get ready for this?
This session will focus on answering practical questions for the GC IM community and provide an overview of policy instruments already in place and those being drafted to support this objective.
About the Speaker:
Nancy Gover is a Senior Project Officer at Library and Archives Canada, working on recordkeeping guidance for Government of Canada institutions and Open Government strategies. She was part of the team that developed Library and Archives Canada’s Generic Valuation Tools (GVTs) and is currently writing guidance on records created by activities between government institutions and Ministers’ Offices. She also serves on ISO TC46/SC11 (archives/records management).
