The Canadian Association for Information Science (CAIS/ACSI) is pleased to announce its 55th Annual Conference, taking place June 1–3, 2027, in a hybrid format at the École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information (EBSI), Université de Montréal, in Montréal, Québec.

This year, CAIS 2027 invites the information science community to explore Edges.

Edges are not only limits. They are also points of contact, negotiation, and emergence. It is often at the edges of information science—between disciplines, communities, technologies, professions, languages, methods, and ways of knowing—that some of its most consequential work takes shape.

As a home for information science across Canada, CAIS brings together researchers, practitioners, professionals, and students working across the breadth of the field. CAIS 2027 will provide a space to exchange ideas, encounter new perspectives, and strengthen connections across our community.
