LAC Forum with University Partners: Exploring Decolonization on the Road to Reconciliation

November 6, 2017 08:30 - 16:00

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is organizing a one-day forum, LAC Forum with University Partners: Exploring Decolonization on the road to Reconciliation, on Monday November 6th, 2017 at LAC’s 395 Wellington Street location in downtown Ottawa. This event will bring together members of LAC’s university partners, as well as a wide range of participants including college and university students, faculty members, Indigenous community members, public servants, university librarians and archivists, and other information professionals. The forum will be open to the public.

The forum will be an opportunity for LAC’s university partners to meet in person in order to share and discuss innovative projects and initiatives related to reconciliation. By providing a platform for dialogue, the forum will support the advancement of reconciliation thinking and actions within academic and memory institutions. It will also provide an opportunity for LAC to deepen its relationships with many universities across Canada.
