The Forum for Information Professionals (FIP) is an annual one-day conference featuring presentations and discussions on current topics facing librarianship. It’s organized by a committee of Library and Information Studies graduate students at the University of Alberta and is a great way to connect with students and professionals in the industry.

Formerly titled Professional Development Day, FIP is now organized by a committee of Library and Information Studies graduate students in the MLIS or joint MLIS programs at the University of Alberta. The committee is a part of the Library and Information Studies Students’ Association (LISSA).
