GovInfo Day(s) Spring began as “The Annual Gathering for Librarians Interested in Legal and Government Information” in 1998 as a low-barrier way for librarians based primarily, but not exclusively, in British Columbia’s lower mainland to meet and discuss issues regarding long-term access and preservation of government publications and legal resources.

Since 2008, it has grown and is now offered annually in Spring both online and in-person.

GovInfo Day(s) Spring and it’s Winter counterpart, Government Information Days, are a testament to the importance government information, whether documents, data or databases, plays for academics, students and the general public.
