How do get you get people to attend the office meetings and/or library events you plan? How do you engage people once they attend? Oftentimes the difference between a successful organization and one that is challenged comes down to how organized its meetings/events are. Explore practical solutions and gain some useful take-aways to develop effective plans that will not only assist your library/organization and engage your team members and other attendees, but also help them to grow and prosper.

Intended Audience: 
This workshop is offered under EI’s Leadership and Management Series. Library and information management professionals from across all sectors are welcome to attend, including those currently in or seeking leadership / management roles.

Facilitator:
Leslie Giddings is a relationship-driven educator and professional facilitator with a unique combination of experience in the education and non-profit sectors. Since 2010 she has worked with students and families as an educational consultant. Using her curiosity, energy and humour she helps students rise to the challenges they face. She provides parental coaching to help manage the stress of school support at home. As an IAF Certified ™️ Professional Facilitator, Leslie designs and delivers practical actions that people can implement in community; working with them towards goals they have identified. She has experience working with volunteers, community boards, non-profits and groups of professionals. Originally from Northern Ontario, Leslie is currently raising her family in Blackburn Hamlet where she has lived for the past 15 years.

Fresh topics are tackled in the third iteration of this ongoing virtual workshop series. Participate in interactive sessions to build essential management skills, improve leadership performance, and inspire resilience to navigate challenging library workplace situations.
