Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is launching the Signature Series, a brand new series of public interviews that will offer a further glimpse into the secrets housed in our national collection.
Dr. Guy Berthiaume, Librarian and Archivist of Canada, will take the helm of these original interviews. To commence the series, he will meet with Sarah Jennings, an arts journalist and author, who is well-known in the Ottawa region. Expect to hear confidences and revelations about the intriguing relationship between politics and the arts, and stories from the archives she donated; the latter include research documents and some 100 interviews on the history of the National Arts Centre.
The Signature Series begins on Monday, January 25, from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), in the second-floor room of the LAC building at 395 Wellington Street in Ottawa. Those interested in attending this free public event should register with bac.marketing.lac@canada.ca.
If you live in Halifax, Winnipeg, or Vancouver, LAC regional sites in these locations will be linking in to the series via videoconference.
