Making a Difference: A Community-Led Service Framework for Libraries

Pilar Martinez, CEO, Edmonton Public Library

EPL was one of the first public libraries in Canada to implement a system-wide, integrated community-led service approach in 2008. Martinez will discuss the framework for the community-led approach, how it was developed, how it has been implemented and evaluated. She will highlight some of the things EPL has learned over the last eight years, the successes, the challenges and what’s in store for the future.
