Theme: Weird Library Science!

Have you ever set fire to something using library science? No? That’s cool. But you must have done something weird, something different, something that’s not typical library science. Maybe you use a weird reference interview technique, maybe you’ve had some cool programs where you might possibly set fire to something! (makerspace am I right?) Maybe you have been trying something new with technology!

Urban Librarians Unite wants to hear about your Weird Library Science. Our next conference is looking at the weird and wacky, the out of the ordinary and experimental, those library science moments where you screamed “It’s Alive!” while circ stats jumped up or you served your community in some new and unusual way.

The fourth Urban Librarians Conference (yeah we can’t believe it either) will be taking place on May 6th from 9AM-4:30PM at the always lovely Dweck Center at Brooklyn Public Library Central Library at Grand Army Plaza. We will have a lineup of speakers at center stage as well the always awesome and intimate breakout sessions. We want to hear about where YOU pushed the envelope of library science.
