Wikipedia is one of the first stops for readers and researchers. Let’s make it better!

#1lib1ref  is an international campaign that calls on library workers around the world, as well as anyone who has a passion for free knowledge, to add missing references to articles on Wikipedia. This campaign is part of the Wikimedia Foundation‘s GLAM outreach strategy to involve and train library workers in the improvement of Wikipedia.

This year, in support of the 2025 campaign, Wikimedia Canada is hosting two virtual #1lib1ref citation workshops, one in French and one in English, on November 19, 2024. We will be doing a short introduction to citations on Wikipedia and show you how to add your own. No prior Wikipedia experience is required!
