Dissolution of the Alberta Association of Library Technicians (AALT)

Dear Library Community,

As of October 23rd, 2025, the Alberta Association of Library Technicians (AALT) has officially voted to dissolve as an association.

At this time, we will be completing the steps required to become the LAA’s first new division—the soon-to-be Library Technicians and Information Support Professionals (LTISP) Division. Keep an eye out for upcoming updates!

As always, please reach out to us with any questions you may have.

We thank you all for your continued involvement over the years, and we look forward to taking these next steps together with you and finding new ways to build up our profession with the support of the LAA.
