Stronger Together Is Back For 2022!
The Alberta Library, Parkland Regional Library System, Peace Library System, & Yellowhead Regional Library are pleased to announce the return of their joint virtual conference Stronger Together on October 6 and 7, 2022.
Registration will again be free and open to everyone who is passionate about the power of libraries!
At this time, the planning committee is currently seeking innovative and industry-leading proposals for 45-minute sessions and asynchronous poster presentations.
This year’s conference themes include:
- Advocacy – initiatives that aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social institutions for the betterment and promotion of libraries
- Leadership – library management skills including board governance, human resources skills, budgeting, fundraising, and operational organization
- Freedom of Information – Access and protection of records and ideas held by libraries and library users
- Access and Diversity – The practice of making your physical and virtual spaces usable and welcoming for all
- Core Competencies – Fundamental library skills including customer services, collection management, readers advisory, and reference
- Technology – Digital literacy including cybersecurity, STEAM programming, and virtual initiatives
We are open to a variety of topics and themes; if your topic does not neatly fit into the above categories, we still welcome your proposal.
