Canadian Library Association Books Awards Announced

The Canadian Library Association (CLA) has announced the recipients of its 2016 book awards:

Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award

• Sidewalk Flowers, by JonArno Lawson, illustrated by Sydney Smith, and published by Groundwood Books

Book of the Year for Children Award

• The Nest by Kenneth Oppel, illustrated by Jon Klassen, published by HarperCollins Canada

Book of the Year for Young Adult Award

• The Scorpion Rules by Erin Bow, published by Simon & Schuster Canada
