Fluevog Shoes and Canadian Librarians—Introducing Florence
October 23, 2020
Earlier this year, Fluevog Shoes made headlines with their Dr. Henry shoe, “inspired by British Columbia’s Chief Provincial Health Officer — and avid Fluevoger — Dr. Bonnie Henry.”
The company has now introduced a new series of shoes called The Biblio Family that pay tribute to notable and groundbreaking librarians.
Among the new shoes is Florence:
With smart leather uppers and playful custom ribbon laces, The Florence pays tribute to Marianne Florence Scott, a Canadian librarian and educator who made history when she became the third ever and first female National Librarian of Canada!
Also in The Biblio series is the Da Costa, named American librarian Bella da Costa Greene, private librarian to J.P. Morgan and the first director of The Morgan Library in Manhattan.
Who else from Canadian librarianship should Fluevog pay tribute to with a pair of shoes?

How about paying tribute to the current hard working librarians? Bring back the Hopes Promise. Some of us would like that wee heel. Librarians can feel good in these shoes while helping people learn or keep their minds active.
