Guy Berthiaume, Victoria Owen Recognized for Contributions to International Librarianship

Congratulations to Guy Berthiaume, Librarian and Archivist of Canada Emeritus, and to Victoria Owen, Information Policy Scholar-Practitioner at the University of Toronto, on being recognized by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) for their contributions to international librarianship.
The honours were announced and presented at the 2020 IFLA General Assembly, held online on November 5, 2020.
IFLA Medal: Guy Berthiaume
The IFLA Medal is conferred on a person who has made a distinguished contribution either to IFLA or to international librarianship.

For his distinguished contribution to IFLA and achievements supporting national libraries, and his influence in advocating for partnerships with the broader documentary heritage community.

This honour was bestowed on Victoia Owen
For her distinguished contribution to IFLA, as a committed advocate for improved copyright provisions for libraries, and for her role in the implementation of the Marrakesh Treaty and increasing access to information for people with print disabilities around the world.
