Three Members for Recruitment to Represent Indigenous, Ontario and Atlantic Province Libraries.
Position Duration: two years (April 2023 to March 2025) with option to renew for additional years
About the TDSRC
TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC) is a national, bilingual program of Canadian public libraries that strives to engage all children in the joy of reading during the summer months while championing Canadian writers and illustrators. The program helps connect children and families with books and build confidence in reading through the delivery of free incentives and fun, accessible library and online activities.
TDSRC is committed to fostering a diverse, respectful, inclusive and safe program that reflects the Canadian population we serve. TDSRC understands the importance for the Club’s contributors and content to reflect the diversity of our audience, and we encourage candidates of diverse backgrounds and abilities to apply.
About the TDSRC National Committee
The Committee is composed of representatives from Toronto Public Library, Library and Archives Canada, CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind), CELA (Centre for Equitable Library Service Access) and TD Bank Group, as well as library representatives from Ontario, Quebec, the Atlantic and Western provinces and Indigenous libraries.
As a member of the TDSRC National Committee, you will have the opportunity to work alongside library leaders from across the country in a creative and collaborative environment. You will get the chance to learn about what’s happening in libraries across the country and gain insight into different approaches to developing and delivering summer programming for families. Together, we will shape a national summer reading program that is responsive to the needs of your community and libraries across the country.
Roles and Responsibilities
National Committee members meet roughly six to eight times per year. Meetings are held remotely via Webex, with the exception of two in-person meetings typically held in Toronto in April and May. All travel expenses are covered by the TDSRC.

- Advising and supporting the creative direction for the program and the production and delivery of all materials both in print and online.
