Survey about Born-Digital Collections in Canadian archives

November 3, 2015

Dear colleagues,

If you currently work with an archival or special collection at an
institution in Canada, I invite you to participate in this questionnaire,
even if you’ve never received a born-digital donation:

You might remember this survey from previous years, or from my presentation
at the ACA 2015 Annual Conference. I’ve decided to continue collecting data
yearly in order to form a longitudinal picture of the trends and challenges
in born-digital preservation for Canadian archives.

International responses are also accepted. All responses are confidential,
and all questions are optional.

The survey should take about twenty minutes to work through, and partial
responses are encouraged — just skip through to the end and press “Submit”
when you’ve had enough. If you were at my presentation, you may remember
that I would very much like to receive more responses every year, even
partial ones.

Information about institution names and employment titles are only
collected to eliminate duplicate responses about the same collection (e.g.,
if both your department head and your student volunteer fill out the
survey, I’ll try not to count your collection twice). More information
about consent and confidentiality can be found by clicking on the
questionnaire link.

The survey will be open for one month, as with last year. Please forward
this to other applicable listservs or groups.

Thank you!
