Giving Back for Canadian Library Month, National Cookbook Month, and Thanksgiving

Giving Back for Canadian Library Month, National Cookbook Month, and Thanksgiving

October 12, 2020

October is Canadian Library Month. CLM serves as a way to establish new relationships between the libraries and local communities while at the same time developing existing relationships.

October is also National Cookbook Month. What better way is there to build, develop, maintain, and celebrate relationships than sharing food and beverage?

This year, Librarianship.ca is bringing these two events together with Thanksgiving and giving back to our communities.

From October 12 to December 31, five dollars ($5) from each purchase of Bites by the Books: A Cookbook from the Canadian Librarianship Community will be contributed to Food Banks Canada.

About Food Banks Canada

Food Banks Canada provides national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow in collaboration with the food bank network in Canada.

Food Banks Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to helping Canadians living with food insecurity. We support a network of Provincial Associations, affiliate food banks, and food agencies that work at the community level to relieve hunger. Our work is focused on maximizing collective impact, strengthening local capacity, and reducing the need for food banks.
