Theme: Creating Space: Expanding the Physical, Digital, and Mental Boundaries of the Academic Library

Space is the blank canvas on which we imagine the organizations, communities, and societies we want to be a part of.

Libraries play an integral role in exploring, shaping, and creating such space. Whether physical or virtual, personal or collaborative, mental or emotional, the multiple dimensions of library space set the stage for the work we do.

As priorities shift and academic culture evolves, conceptions of library space must be flexible: able to expand, contract, or completely transform. Whether we’re making the most out of shrinking budgets and limited physical space, on increasing our impact through online education and accessible content, examples of innovative spaces abound!

Join us on Friday, April 29, 2016 in picturesque Jordan Village for a special one-day conference hosted by OCULA (the Ontario College and University Library Association), as we explore the evolving concept of space in the modern academic library.
