2019 State of Canadian UX Survey

July 22, 2019

Following the success of the first ever State of Canadian UX Report in 2018, the organizers of the annual CanUX conference are gathering data for the second annual report.

Like the 2018 survey, the 2019 report will track a variety of indices, from demographics to practice maturity levels, training sources to UX salary figures, roles to design, research and collaboration toolsets, etc.

Respondents to the survey who choose to leave their email address at the end of the survey will be entered in a draw to win a free ticket to CanUX 2019.

The survey results are expected to be available in November 2019.

The 2019 Canadian State of UX Survey is Now Live

As we’re celebrating our 10th anniversary here at CanUX, we’ve come to the realization that we, as Canadian practitioners, have had little visibility when it comes to Canadian specific information about the state of experience design North of the wall. Consequently, we’ve decided to spend part of our CanUX budget every year on creating a State of Canadian UX Report, which will be unveiled yearly during the CanUX conference.

The report tracks a variety of indices, from demographics to maturity levels, from training sources to salary figures, from roles to toolsets, etc. Because this is the 2nd year we’re running the report, we expect our year-over-year figures to normalize. We also expect the report to incrementally improve and provide reliable and accurate trending on some of the figures related to working as a UX professional in Canada

We’d like to encourage all the experience design professionals across the country to participate in the survey, and as an (optional) incentive, if you decide to leave your email address at the end of the survey you’ll be entered into a draw for a free ticket to this year’s CanUX 2019 conference on Nov 2-3, a CDN $500+ value. That’s right, you could be hanging out with the likes of Bill Buxton, Kim Goodwin, and the rest of this year’s lineup, for free. The draw will take place on October 20, 2019, once the survey closes. Also, If you’ve left your email address, we’ll also send you a link to the report in November 2019.

If you have any questions about this survey, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info AT canux DOT io.
