Call for Proposals: 2023 ABQLA Conference

March 26, 2023

On behalf of the Association des bibliothécaires du Québec – Quebec Library Association (ABQLA) Board of Directors, we are pleased to invite you to submit proposals for our first in-person conference in four years, to be held on May 26th, 2023.

The theme of this year’s ABQLA conference is Happy Returns – Retrouvailles.

This theme, chosen to commemorate our 90th annual conference, evokes ideas of reunion and celebration. It also takes up the idea of returning to a “new normal” together, and the happiness of meeting someone who is very dear to you after a long time apart. We look forward to bringing ABQLA members, old and new, together in person to celebrate our organization and our commitment to our community.

This year we invite you to submit proposals for presentations and posters that explore how Quebec’s library and information professionals have adapted to meet the current phase of the pandemic. By rethinking services and (re)creating programs, members of our profession continue to serve diverse communities, welcoming them into our virtual spaces and back into our physical locations for many happy returns.

Guidelines & Instructions

We would love to hear perspectives from students, public libraries, academic libraries, special libraries, archives, non-profit organizations, student support departments/organizations, community groups and more!
