The 2025 ABC Copyright Conference Planning Committee invites proposals for conference sessions.
To encourage a variety of opportunities for learning and engagement, we welcome proposals in either French or English for program content from all stakeholder groups in the GLAM sector and ranging in scale and format from lecture-style presentations, to short lightning talks.
Suggestions for proposal topics:
- Finding the balance between users and holders of copyright
- Finding the balance between past practices and future needs
- Finding the balance between international and Canadian copyright law
- Finding the balance between print-centred copyright and a digital AI world
- Finding the balance between colonial copyright law principles and responsible, ethical treatment of Traditional Knowledge + Traditional Cultural Expressions
- Finding the balance between copyright law and the needs of GLAMs
- Or come up with your own!
