Call for Proposals: Marigold Library System Conference 2026

We are thrilled to announce that the 2026 Marigold Library System Conference will be held in Calgary on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The theme of the 2026 Conference is Together Toward Tomorrow.

Collaboration is at the heart of library work, whether that’s collaborating with our communities, team members, stakeholders, or other libraries. We invite you to join us this day to reflect on how we can work together as a library community to confront obstacles, tackle problems, and overcome adversity.

The Planning Committee invites session proposals which may benefit, support, or inspire library staff and board members.

Possible session topics include:

• Board development and advocacy
• Customer service
• Human resources, management, and leadership
• Inclusivity
• Intellectual freedom
• Programming for all ages, including programs run in small spaces on small budgets
• Safety and security in the library
• Trends, technology, and innovation

*Other topics of interest will be considered.

When submitting your proposal, please consider how your topic can be applied to public libraries of all sizes.

Please fill out the online form to submit a proposal. Note that both full-length (one hour) and lightning talk (20-30 minutes) sessions will be considered.

The deadline for proposals is end of day Saturday, January 31, 2026.
