Call for Proposals: Rural Libraries Conference 2020

February 14, 2020

You are invited to attend the 2020 Rural Libraries Conference at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta which will take place on October 1 and 2, 2020.

This annual conference, hosted by Peace Library System, attracts more than 150 delegates, including library trustees, school and public library staff and librarians from northwestern Alberta, northeastern British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories. Over the course of two days, delegates are able to network, attend the exhibitor tradeshow, and participate in sessions on a variety of library-related topics.

This year’s theme will be Libraries All Life Long. We are particularly looking for sessions on lifelong learning and fostering a multigenerational culture of programs services for all demographics, but will accept submissions on a variety of library-related topics, including diversity and inclusion, collection development, programming ideas, marketing and promotion, management, advocacy, trustee education, and more.

We are currently seeking session proposals for one hour and fifteen minute presentations at the conference. To submit your proposal, send the following information to the conference coordinator at estewart@peacelibrarysystem.ab.ca:
