Seed Funding Secured for NIKLA’s Respectful Terminologies Project

The National Indigenous Knowledge and Language Alliance (NIKLA) announced that seed funding has been secured to create a national platform for respectful Indigenous terminology to replace outdated and inappropriate terminologies used currently in cultural memory sectors such as museums, libraries, archives centers and galleries.

L’Alliance nationale des connaissances et des langues autochtones (ANCLA) a annoncé qu’un financement de démarrage a été obtenu pour créer une plateforme nationale pour terminologie autochtone respectueuse afin de remplacer les terminologies obsolètes et inappropriées utilisées actuellement dans les secteurs de la mémoire et de la culture tels que les musées, les bibliothèques, les centres d’archives et les galeries.
