Survey on Empathy in Libraries

Hello

My name is Nancy Goebel and I am the Head Librarian at the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta.

I am currently on research leave and my work is focussing on what libraries can (or already) do to foster the development of empathy in library staff and patrons. I am hoping that you would be willing to complete the survey below which asks questions regarding empathy and library staff and patrons as it relates to:

• Library Collections
• Library Instruction
• Library Facilities
• Library Services
• Library Events/Programming
• Library Websites

I am seeking thoughtful responses so most of the questions are not required. This allows you to provide input into the areas in which you have experience and/or perspectives. Because of the breadth of the questions, the survey is also cross-posted to a variety of library listservs. Feel free to share this email and survey with anyone who you think might be interested!
