Save the Date: True North Science Boot Camp for Librarians

December 16, 2015

The 3rd Annual True North Science Boot Camp for Librarians is moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada! – The Gateway to the North – and while we are still busy sorting all the details and setting up our website, we want to make sure you block these dates off in your calendar.

TNSBC III will be held on the University of Alberta Campus from Wednesday, May 25th at 1pm through Friday, May 27th at noon. Highlights:

  • Programming includes research ranging from wildlife conservation to solar energy to dinosaurs
  • Programming highlighting librarian activities in Data Management, 3D Printing and other Scholarly Communications issues.
  • Opportunities to network with your Science Librarian colleagues
  • Social activities include a wine and cheese reception on the High Level Bridge Trolley overlooking out the beautiful Edmonton River Valley, the Boot Camp banquet at the University of Alberta Faculty Club, and an optional Segway tour of the River Valley.
  • Low registration fees of approximately $150 for commuters, and $300 for full registrants with private accommodations in campus residences
  • For our colleagues south of the border, a reminder that the US exchange rate will make our Boot Camp a real bargain!

Look for our next communication in early January, with a link to our website, more programming details, and a registration date.
