Ex Libris Association (ELA) presented the 2025 W.K. Lamb Award for Innovative Services to Seniors to the Kingston Frontenac Public Library for their “Older Adults Hub.”

The CFLA-FCAB Intellectual Freedom Award is the successor to the Canadian Library Association’s Advancement of Intellectual Freedom Award which was awarded annually between 1988 and 2016. It recognizes outstanding contributions to intellectual freedom in Canada.

The Vickery Bowles Award on Intellectual Freedom in Public Libraries will be presented annually to a student currently enrolled in an accredited MLS or MLIS program who demonstrates knowledge, commitment and passion to upholding democratic values and Intellectual Freedom within public libraries.

Completed applications must be submitted by November 6, 2025.

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) will present the 2025 Ron MacDonald Outstanding Service Award to Eugene Barsky during the Network’s Member Summit in Halifax in October 2025.

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2025 British Columbia Library Association (BCLA) awards!

The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) presented its 2025 CARL Award for Distinguished Service to Research Librarianship to Victoria Owen during its Spring Member Meeting in Winnpeg.

The deadline for nominations is April 15. 2025.
