UBC Library Wins First Place in 2019 IFLA PressReader International Marketing Award

The University of British Columbia (UBC) Library has won first place in the 2019 IFLA PressReader International Marketing Award for their “2018 UBC Library Digital Colouring Books Campaign” project.

The University of British Columbia launched their Kelmscott Chaucer Digital Colouring Book campaign to provide a fun and interactive way for users to engage with library collections. Inspired by the Colour Our Collections initiative, the UBC created a free, downloadable colouring book using art from a book in their Rare Books and Special Collection.

Also recognized was the Open Media Desk (from the Federation of Ontario Public Libraries), a 6-week online course for those who want to master digital storytelling, campaign development, and audience analytics.

The award is presented by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Section on Management and Marketing, in collaboration with PressReader, and honours organizations that have implemented creative, results-oriented marketing projects or campaigns that promote the library and information services industry.
