Congratulations to members of the Canadian library and information management community being recognized by their peers at the 2016 Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) Annual Meeting in Copenhagen.

The awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon held on October 18, 2016 at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting.

James M. Cretsos Leadership Award

The purpose of this award is to recognize a new ASIS&T member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities in professional ASIS&T activities.

Thomson Reuters Information Science Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to foster research in information science by encouraging and assisting doctoral students in the field with their dissertation research.

Thomson Reuters Outstanding Information Science Teacher Award

The purpose of the award is to recognize the unique teaching contribution of an individual as a teacher of information science.

The purpose of the award is to recruit, engage, and retain new members and to identify potential for new leadership in the Association.
