Invitation to Participate in Research: The Experiences of Academic Librarians on Temporary Contracts Before and During COVID-19

We are working on a research study that examines the experiences of individuals who have held temporary contract positions in academic libraries. The purpose of the research is to investigate the demographics and career paths of those academic librarians engaged in contract work in Canada and their experiences in these positions regarding training, socialization, and supervision/mentorship. The study will also zero in on how COVID-19 has affected the working lives of librarians holding temporary contracts in academic libraries. This survey is open to anyone who has held a contract position as an academic librarian.

If you have held a temporary contract position as an academic librarian in Canada during your career, we invite you to participate in an anonymous online survey. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Please follow this link to participate in the survey. The deadline for this survey has been extended until Monday, September 30. Please feel free to share this with your networks.
