Save the Date – Beyond Hope Library Conference 2027

October 20, 2026

Good morning everyone!

We are pleased to announce that the 2027 Beyond Hope Library Conference is scheduled to be held June 7-8, 2027 in Prince George, BC, on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh!

Conference Theme: The theme in 2027 is Let Us Read: Libraries in Times of Trouble (visit https://www.pgpl.ca/beyondhope for more details).

Libraries and intellectual freedom are increasingly under attack: from special interest groups, from governments, from all those who want to restrict our freedom to read. If you’re concerned about the future of intellectual freedom in libraries and want to join the battle, Beyond Hope 2027 is the place to be!

Keynote Speaker: We are pleased to welcome Ivan Coyote to Prince George to deliver the keynote address. Ivan is a writer and storyteller, the author of thirteen books, the creator of four films, three albums, and an international touring performer.

We need your help! If you have ideas for speakers, topics, or activities that you want to see at Beyond Hope, please take a few moments to fill out our survey at:

Your input is greatly appreciated! Please submit your survey responses by November 15, 2026.

Check back on the Beyond Hope page of the PGPL website to find out new details as they are added.

See you in June!
