All hail the Saturday night CanUX 2015 Afterparty
For the first time in our six year history, we’re hosting an epic party in the museum’s Grand Hall, one of Canada’s most iconic indoor public spaces. Even if you don’t have a ticket to the conference, you can attend our social event by purchasing a party-only ticket for only $15 on our tickets page (bonus: the ticket comes with a free drink). Our esteemed speakers will be there, UX professionals from coast to coast will be there, and so should you. Also, we’re still looking for a sponsor for the afterparty, so if you want to put your stamp on the event, contact us at info@canuxconf.org for more details.
Introducing the first ever CanUX Job Fair
CanUX 2015 also marks the debut of our first ever CanUX Job Fair. If you are looking for a job in experience design, interaction design, information architecture, usability or just design in general, a number of top employers from the region will be on site following our closing keynote on Sunday, November 8, to showcase their open positions and potentially schedule follow-up interviews. More details about the job fair will be made available on our site in the coming days.
Newbie dinners and studio tours
If you are coming to the event for the first time (especially those coming from out of town and there are a lot of you this year), we’re setting up a number of pre-reserved non-sponsored newbie dinners hosted by a few CanUX friends who have attended our event in past years. They will also be able to answer questions about what you can expect. If you attend one of these, don’t forget to bring cash or plastic to pay your bill. And last but not least, on Friday morning and on Sunday afternoon after the closing keynote, a number of local companies will be hosting studio tours. Check our tickets page after October 15 to sign up for free for both newbie dinners and studio tours. We’ll also send you a quick reminder via email in case you forget.
More surprises await…
But this is not all. We’re cooking a few more goodies for this year’s attendees, but we don’t want to spoil all the surprises. We hope to see you all on Nov 7 :)
One reply on “CanUX News”
Hi, I was wondering if the job fair is free to attend? I can’t afford the conference right now but would like to attend the job fair as I’m currently looking for opportunities in UX design.
Thanks and I look forward to the response to my question.
