CFLA Replaces CLA as Canadian Co-Publisher of RDA

May 13, 2016

The Canadian Library Association (CLA) announced in the latest issue of CLA Digest that Canadian Federation of Library Associations (CFLA) will take over as the co-publisher of the Resource Description and Access (RDA) standard.

CFLA-FCAB board approves taking over the role of co-publisher of RDA

We are delighted to be able to share with you that the CFLA-FCAB board has approved taking over the role of co-publisher of RDA from the CLA.

We have connected the Co-Publishers with the Executive of the CFLA-FCAB so that they can begin their discussions and move forward with the necessary steps to end the agreement with CLA and add the CFLA-FCAB as a co-publisher. The CFLA-FCAB will share more information on how this is progressing as soon as they are able to.

This is such an important standard and CLA is delighted that it has a new home and Canada will continue to be at the table.
