April 23, 2019

Dear colleagues

I just wanted to let you know there is an award set up in memory of Mac Nason, who passed away in March 2019.

This award is presented to a student in the Library and Information Technician program who shows promise in cataloguing, classification or special collections, or who overcame obstacles while studying at Algonquin College.

Mac Nason was a professor for 18 years in the Library and Information Technician program until he retired in June 2017. He passed away suddenly in March 2019. Mac had a significant impact on his students and the library community. He is remembered by his students and colleagues, for his support, his guidance and his great sense of humour.

Contributions can be made at Canada Helps, at the Algonquin College Foundation page, and select the Corey Mac Nason Award from the drop down menu where it asks to select the specific award.

Or, contributions can be made directly to the Algonquin College Foundation by cheque:

Sincerely

Helena
