Young Canada Works

Extension for YCW Internships Applications

February 5, 2018

As requested by many institutions, the Canadian Council of Archives is pleased to announce an extension to the Young Canada Works (YCW) in Heritage Organizations Internship deadline.

The new deadline is now Friday, March 2nd, for the archival community and the library community (for libraries operating in English).

All applications received by the original deadline of February 1st are being processed, and those institutions may also apply for additional new projects, if desired.

More funding = more applications to be approved by the Canadian Council of Archives!

This year again, as part of the Youth Employment Strategy of the Government of Canada, we have been allocated supplemental funding by the Department of Canadian Heritage, which means that we will be able to help fund four times as many internship projects than usual.

For more information, and to obtain a copy of the Employer Guide, please visit our website. You will find the links for the program’s guidelines and application forms on the YCW website.

A reminder that you can apply for multiple internships!

If you have any questions concerning your application in the archival field, do not hesitate to contact Louise Charlebois or Isabelle Alain at ycw_jct@archivescanada.ca

If you have any questions concerning your application as a library operating in English, do not hesitate to contact Sabrina Pound (ycw-cla@archivescanada.ca).
