House of Commons Copyright Act Review Committee Announces Dates for Cross-Canada Hearings

The House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology announced its schedule for formal hearings and public, open-mic sessions for the statutory review of the Copyright Act in cities across Canada next week.

The public is welcome to attend the formal hearings of the Committee.

The open-mic sessions will take place in the evenings. To participate, individuals must register on location: arrive 30 minutes in advance and bring a piece of identification. Participants will be given two minutes to express their views. The Committee will hear participants until the session runs out of time.

Any person may submit a brief. To be accepted, the brief must not exceed 2,000 words. Briefs may be submitted to the Committee by email (indu@parl.gc.ca), or by using the appropriate button on the Committee website.
