Overview

CODE has had a long presence in Ghana working in collaboration with the Ghana Book Trust to bring literacy initiatives to remote areas of the country. This edition of the Seeing is Believing Tour will provide the opportunity to witness children and teachers engaged in our programming firsthand in schools in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region.

But the tour is also so much more! You’ll have the chance to experience the wonderful warmth of the Ghanaian people, learn of its rich history, visit the seat of a reigning monarch in the Ashanti Kingdom, venture to an African wildlife preserve, tour a UNESCO designated historic site dating back to 1482 and bask in the warmth of the Cape Coast. Your journey will begin and end in Ghana’s capital of Accra where you will see the exciting development of one of West Africa’s most vibrant cities.
