Researchers in Western University’s Faculty of Information and Media Studies request your participation in a project titled The public library is….

Participation is open to all members of the public, library patrons and staff, and students and educators in the field of Library and Information Sciences. We want to know what you think about the purpose and function of public libraries today!

The goal of this initial stage research is to generate a list of approximately 60 statements in response to the following prompt: “Public libraries are important because…”

Your participation in this survey is completely voluntary and all of your responses are anonymous. None of the responses will be connected to identifying information. You may submit as many responses as you wish.

The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
