Our next conference is looking at the weird and wacky, the out of the ordinary and experimental, those library science moments where you screamed “It’s Alive!” while circ stats jumped up or you served your community in some new and unusual way.

The theme for the 2016 BC Library Conference is Disrupt & Transform. We think the theme captures the rapid changes happening around us, as well as the ways we are changing ourselves to stay relevant in turbulent times.

The theme this year, Cooperation Saskatchewan Style: 20 Years of Success, will provide an opportunity for libraries and library workers to explore cooperation between libraries and various other organizations in various contexts and to celebrate their work in providing programs and services.

We invite you to submit a proposal for presentation at our 2016 annual conference. This year’s theme, Libraries: Supporting Bodies and Minds, was inspired by the important role libraries play in supporting physical and mental wellness in our communities.
