The Accessibility Standards Canada grants and contributions program supports research projects that try to find, take away and stop obstacles to accessibility.

The Pat Morris Communities Matter Initiative will offer grants to Canadian libraries serving small communities to support acquisitions, programming, and outreach activities.

The deadline is now Wednesday, January 22, 2020, for the archival community and the library community (for libraries operating in English).

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) this week announced the funding of 31 projects through the Listen, Hear Our Voices initiative “to help Indigenous organizations to digitize their existing culture and language recordings, and build the skills, knowledge and resources they need to carry out this work in their communities.”

The ministerial mandate letters released today by the Prime Minister include policy objectives for several ministers which touch on and support the recommendations from the library community.

The application deadline for the summer projects is January 15, 2020.

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is pleased to announce that its third application cycle for library subscription funding has begun.

The additional funding will be divided between the program’s five national delivery partners: the Canadian Museums Association, the Canadian Council of Archives, the National Trust for Canada, the Fédération des milieux documentaires, and the Cultural Human Resources Council:

In 2019-20, Library and Archives Canada will provide $1.5 million to support 52 projects by archives, libraries, and documentary heritage institutions throughout Canada.
