The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) today announced the appointment of Rina Hadziev as Executive Director. She succeeds Michael Ciccone who left CELA in August to join the London Public Library as Chief Executive Officer.

The funeral, followed by a Celebration of Life, will be on Sunday, October 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 414 Sparks Street, Ottawa.

As of August 5, 2019, Vivian Stieda will begin work with COPPUL and will formally assume the role of Executive Director on September 6.

Leslie Weir will be the first woman to become Librarian and Archivist of Canada since the merging of these two institutions.

Talia Chung has over twenty years’ experience in the library sector and is currently the Associate University Librarian, Research Services at the University of Ottawa Library.

Dr. Lank has served in increasingly senior roles within the Senate of Canada administration for over 25 years. She is currently the Principal Clerk of the Senate Chamber Operations and Procedure Office, a position she has held since 2015.
