Registration Open: Introduction to Archival Practice (distance education course)

Registration is now open for the AABC’s distance education course “Introduction to Archival Practice”.
This course will be of benefit for those volunteering in an archives or working in heritage societies, libraries, museum, records management, local government, administration or non-profit institutions. You do not have to work in an archives to take this course!
Using Laura Millar’s award winning publication Archives: Principles and Practices, students will learn about archival terminology and theory, the role of the archivist and archival institutions, how archival records are treated, copyright and privacy, ethics and electronic records.
- Registration is open June 27 – August 22
- Course will run from September 5 to November 14, 2016
Registration costs:
- $350.00 (CAD) for AABC members (plus the cost of the course textbook)
- $500.00 (CAD) non-members (plus the cost of the course textbook)
