Save the date: GovInfo Day(s) Spring April 24 & 25
February 6, 2025
This year, GovInfo Day(s) Spring is partnering again with the Internet Archive Canada. The planning committee, consisting of Katie Cuyler (University of Alberta), Loren Fantin (Internet Archive Canada), Carla Graebner (Simon Fraser University), Andrea Mills (Internet Archive Canada) and Susan Paterson (University of British Columbia), is pleased to announce the dates for the 2025 GovInfo Day(s) Spring event.
We’re offering a hybrid event over two days: Thursday, April 24th (online and possibly in-person at the SFU Vancouver Downtown Campus) and Friday April 25th (in-person only at the Internet Archive Canada headquarters in Vancouver, BC).
Additional information regarding call for proposals, registration, programming and other details will be forthcoming but, in the meantime, please hold April 24th and April 25th in your calendars. I’m certain we’ll have a lot to talk about.
For additional background information, GovInfo Days began life as a smaller regional event for the benefit of information professionals in British Columbia. Established as the Annual Gathering for Librarians Interested in Government and Legal Information in the late 1990s, it has evolved over the last twenty years to GovInfo Days and is a slightly smaller version of its Ontario cousin known as Government Information Days and which is held in December. It’s interesting and rewarding to know that we can sustain two such events annually.
