Introducing Canada’s new organization dedicated to fostering the growth of the school library learning commons and to developing a national network of school library practitioners and supporters.

Building on the discussion paper released in January and the discussion at Treasure Mountain Canada 4, a survey has been put together to get input from the broader community.

Richard Beaudry and Gail Chaddock-Costello have been chosen as recipients of the 2016 Canadian Library Association (CLA) Award for the Advancement of Intellectual Freedom in Canada.

Today, CLA released the book Canadian Copyright in Schools and School Libraries: A Primer to assist school library staff and classroom teachers in their understanding of copyright law and Supreme Court of Canada decisions on fair dealing.
